Seed Collection Art

Collect a variety of seeds and glue to make pictures

Plants seed in lots of different ways, some hide in pods, some in flower heads they also disguise themselves in fruits, berries and nuts, while some are very good at flying. This project uses seeds to create pictures.

MATERIALS:

• A selection of different shaped seeds
• Stiff cardboard
• Glue
• Felt tip pen

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Hunt for your seeds
• Use a felt tip pen or crayon to draw lines to help create your picture
• Glue different shapes or follow where you've draw lines using the felt tip pen
• Stick or sprinkle on the seeds over glue
• Mix and match the seeds too so you get variation of texture and depth
• Try different patterns.
