Owning a pet is a long-term commitment. Before selling any animal, the Nichol’s Pet Centre team will ensure they’re going to the best home possible. They’ll run through the following checklist with you; photographic proof will be required - best come prepared!

Animal specific minimum requirements for purchase:

SMALL ANIMAL: 

(Guinea pig/Rabbit/Rat/Mouse)

• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of a suitable cage/hutch
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of suitable pelletized food
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of a food bowl
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of a drink bottle/anti-tip dish
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of bedding materials
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of a wood chew and salt/mineral lick
• If rabbit, discuss vaccination benefits

BIRD:

• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of a suitable cage
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of a range of perches
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of two feeding bowls
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of suitable food for the correct species
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of cuttlefish
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of base materials for the cage
• Proof of ownership of and/or purchase of a mister bottle or bird bath
• Discuss worming benefits
